Art Deco platter, France, made in the 1920s by the renowned Mougin brothers—leading figures of the Nancy School. This decorative platter fully reflects the originality and expressive power of French ceramics from the Art Deco period. The artists combined geometric rigor and the inherent poetry of the material with a rare sense of balance.

The ceramic dish is distinguished by its pronounced relief and rich, crystallized glazes. At the center, a turquoise crystallization, slightly frosted, intensely captures the light. The shades of blue, brown, and ivory blend harmoniously, revealing the expertise of the Mougin workshops.

The rim is decorated with a finely crafted, symmetrical motif. This design reflects the decorative language of Art Deco, where each line is subject to precise balance. On the reverse, the signature "Mougin Nancy" and the number 1405, engraved in the clay, confirm its origin and attribution.

Finally, this rare dish illustrates the decorative talent of early 20th-century French art. It combines mastery of ceramics, precision of relief, and the beauty of crystallized glazes, while retaining a timeless charm.
