François Alluaud (1778 - 1866) - French businessman, one of the founders of the national porcelain industry, archaeologist, geologist, politician and mayor of Limoges in 1830-1833.
It was his factory that later gave rise to the famous Haviland porcelain house, then to GDA. The successive trio of porcelain companies François ALLUAUD - HAVILAND - GDA is still considered a benchmark in France, giving the nation porcelain of a level unequalled to this day.
